Free Day in Rotorua
Full day at leisure in the geothermal city of Rotorua. We are happy to recommend and include additional activities. Perhaps visit the Agrodome for a farm tour, take a stroll along the lakefront or venture further out of the city and visit Wai-o-tapu & Waimangu Thermal Valleys. This evening enjoy a traditional Maori Hangi & Concert.
Rotorua – Napier
Depart Rotorua and travel to Lake Taupo, New Zealand's largest freshwater lake famous for its Rainbow Trout. From Taupo we travel to the region of Hawkes Bay, renowned for its red wines and onto the Art Deco city of Napier.
Napier – Wellington
This morning depart on a Napier Sightseeing & Wine Tour. A City Overview Sightseeing Tour including History, the rebuilding of the City in Art Deco, and the changes resulting in today's Napier. We will also visit a winery and taste different varieties of local wine. Later, travel south through the Manawatu Gorge to Palmerston North then down the Kapiti Coast to Wellington.

Today you have a free day to explore New Zealand’s capital city and its endless sights. We are happy to book additional sightseeing activities (please ask at time of booking).
Wellington – Christchurch
Today you have the option of spending the morning in Wellington or taking an early flight to Christchurch to spend the day there. You will need to make your own flight arrangements to fly between Wellington and Christchurch – you can arrange your flight at anytime today.
Christchurch – Mount Cook – Queenstown
Travel south following the foothills of the Southern Alps to Mount Cook Village via Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki. Free time in Mount Cook before continuing on to Queenstown travelling via the Lindis Pass and the Kawarau Gorge.
Milford Day Tour
A full day tour to the World Heritage listed, Fiordland National Park. Enjoy cruising Milford Sound and viewing the spectacular waterfalls and towering Mitre Peak.

Queenstown – Fox Glacier
Leaving Queenstown, travel to the West Coast passing via the Haast Pass into Westland National Park.

Full Day in Fox Glaicer, visit Lake Matheson
Take a short trip to enjoy the views of the glacier where you can take a stroll to the look out point. Later visit Lake Matheson. Offering unparalleled views of Fox Glacier, Mt Tasman and Aoraki/Mt Cook, Lake Matheson is the most photographed lake in New Zealand. Winding through ancient native rainforest, the walkway has three viewing platforms along the journey, providing unprecedented views. The full circuit around the lake takes approximately 1 – 1 ½ hours.

Fox Glacier – Greymouth – Christchurch
Travel north through lush rainforest to Greymouth where you will transfer to the TranzAlpine Train. Enjoy a remarkable train journey across the Southern Alps and across the Canterbury Plains to the "Garden City" of Christchurch.

TOUR TYPE - INDEPENDENT TOUR
Independent tours are not escorted group tours - they are for independent travellers. What this means is that it is not the same group of people travelling on their own coach with a tour leader/escort looking after you. You are travelling independently. However, you are picked up and dropped off at your accommodation each morning and evening and interesting commentary is provided on many sectors.
