Mt Cook

Aoraki / Mt Cook National Park is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Area. The National Park is a breath-taking environment of glaciers, terminal lakes, turbulent rivers and Australasia's tallest peak, the mighty Aoraki Mt Cook soaring above at 3,724 metres. This area contains more than 140 peaks and 72 glaciers in the region – something special to look at in every direction. With a number of activities to indulge in including exploring the Tasman Glacier lake, star gazing and plenty of walking form short walks to longer mountain hikes for the experienced, there is something to delight the senses in everyone.
