Our journey to Mt Cook travels across the Canterbury Plains through Geraldine, Fairlie and Lake Tekapo where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd.

Our lunch stop (optional) is at Mt Cook situated in a national park and UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you have approximately 1.5 hours to enjoy this stunning area.

After lunch we leave Mt Cook bound for Queenstown passing on the way the many hydro electric power schemes of the McKenzie Basin. A short stop for afternoon tea (own expense) at Omarama and then it's through the tussock clad hills of the Lindis Pass to Cromwell, a major stone-fruit producing region.

From here we travel through the craggy Kawarau Gorge, past the famous Bungy Jump bridge and onto Queenstown overlooking beautiful Lake Wakatipu.
