Tour departs from the Gray Line Travel Centre, some hotel/motels pick ups are available. Travelling via Auckland's 'Golden Mile' (Queen Street), our tour takes you through the university grounds past historical buildings of Auckland.
Continue over the Harbour Bridge to capture views of the Waitemata Harbour and the downtown area including the
America's Cup Village and Westhaven Marina. Stop on the summit of Mt Eden for expansive 360 degree views of the City, Hauraki Gulf and Manukau Harbour.
Continue through Auckland Domain and gardens.
We highly recommend that you visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum located within the grounds. A donation is requested on entry of $5 per person-please pay direct. You have 45 minutes here before your coach continues via Parnell Village and its colonial style shops to Paritai Drive.
View this expensive residential area featuring fantastic views of our harbour and islands before returning to the city along Tamaki Drive past popular Auckland beaches and the native Pohutukawa trees.
At 12.15pm you return to your Quay Street departure point where time is available to get some lunch (own expense). At 12.45pm you report back to the office where you are then transferred across the road to Pier 2B for the Harbour Cruise. AT 1.35pm arrive at Waiheke Island.
Your Fullers guide will be waiting on the pier with a sign. At 1.45pm your coach departs and visits the following vineyards:
- Mudbrick Vineyard - overlooking the sparkling waters of the Hauraki Gulf
- Ridgeview Estate - Waiheke Island's newest and highest winery with breathtaking views across the water to Auckland.
- Te Whau Vineyard - acclaimed for its restaurant, stunning 360 degree views and architecture.
At 4.30pm you arrive back at Matiatia Wharf, depart on the 4.45pm ferry back to Auckland where you arrive at 5.30pm. The tour terminates at Auckland ferry building, no hotel drop off.
Note: You are welcome to stay in Waiheke Island and return to Auckland on a later ferry. Please talk to the coach driver on the day.
