Day 1: Queenstown - Franz Josef
Leaving Queenstown travel with Newmans Coachlines to the West Coast passing through Cromwell, Wanaka and Hawea before climbing over the Haast Pass into the Westland National Park. The Haast Pass is our southern most pass that traverses the Southern Alps linking the East Coast with the West Coast. Arrive into Franz Josef at 4.10pm.
Accommodation: Scenic Hotel Franz Josef Glacier, Bella Vista Motel or similar

Day 2: At Franz Josef
Today we have included a guided walk to view the Franz Josef Glacier. Enjoy a fascinating commentary on the history and geology of the area. The rest of the day is free for optional activities which may include scenic flights up to the glaciers, short walks into the native rainforest or a visit to the Westland National Park Visitor Centre.

Day 3: Franz-Greymouth
Travel north with InterCity Coachlines through lush rainforests and spectacular scenery to Greymouth, arriving at 1.15pm. At 2.00 pm you will be collected from your hotel/motel by Kea West Coast Tours for a Punakaiki 'Wild West Coast' Tour. This is their most popular daily departure and one of the jewels in the crown of New Zealand's scenic treasure chest. Just getting there is half the fun, with magnificent coastal views. Take time at the renowned Punakaiki Pancake Rocks, a guided walk through the subtropical rainforest and time to explore an isolated beach while hearing about the ecology of the seabirds and plants. Arrive back at your accommodation at 6.00 pm.
