Day 1 Christchurch - Dunedin
Travel south by InterCity coach over the Canterbury Plains to the cities of Timaru and Oamaru. Follow the coastline to Palmerston and then its over the Kilmog Hill and Mount Cargill to Dunedin the Edinburgh of the south. Arrive Dunedin 1.45pm.

Day 2 Otago Peninsula
Today is a full day tour with Monarch Wildlife Cruises & Tours on their premier package. This includes the Otago Harbour and Taiaroa Head wildlife cruise, scenic Otago Peninsula bus tour and guided tours of the Royal Albatross Colony, the Yellow Eyed Penguin Reserve and a visit to wading bird habitats. Along with a guided tour of Larnach Castle, one of Dunedin's great landmarks. Depart 9am, arrive back at approx. 7pm.

Day 6 Queenstown - Franz Josef
Leaving Queenstown with Newmans Coach Lines travel to the West Coast passing through Cromwell, Wanaka and Hawea before climbing over the Haast Pass into the Westland National Park. Arrive at Franz Josef by 4.10 pm.

Day 7 Full Day at Franz Josef
Today we have included a short sightseeing tour with Glacier Valley Eco Tours. You will be taken by shuttle bus to the Franz Josef Glacier viewing point. Visitors can view the glacier after a short 10 minute walk (this walk is not guided).

Day 8 Franz Josef - Christchurch
Continue north through lush rainforest and spectacular scenery to Greymouth to board the famous TranzAlpine Train recognized as one of the top six rail journeys in the world. Arrive into Christchurch at approx. 6.15pm.
