3 Day Southern Highlights Tour
Travel from Christchurch to New Zealand's highest mountain, Mount Cook, then on to Queenstown. Day two is a full day excursion to the world famous Fiordland National Park and enjoy a one and a half hour cruise of Milford Sound.

Day 1: Christchurch - Mount Cook - Queenstown
Travel south with Great Sights following the foothills of the Southern Alps to Mount Cook Village via Lakes Tekapo and Pukaiki. Lunch (own expense) is at Mount Cook Village - time is available to walk one of the many alpine walks in the area or to visit the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. Continue onto Queenstown travelling via the Lindis Pass and the Kawarau Gorge. Arrive into Queenstown at 6.30pm.
Accommodation: Scenic Suites Queenstown, Bella Vista Motel or similar.

A full day tour to the World Heritage listed, Fiordland National Park - a truly spectacular region of snow capped mountains, glacier lakes, fiords, waterfalls and dense forest. From Te Anau, travel to the forested Eglinton Valley, Mirror Lakes, Homer Tunnel and Chasm before arriving into Milford Sound. Enjoy a one and a half hour cruise of Milford Sound viewing the spectacular waterfalls and Mitre Peak. Arrive back into Queenstown approx. 7.45pm.

Today depart Queenstown on the Newmans service via the stone fruit growing area of Cromwell, the town of Omarama famous for its gliding, Tekapo and the rural towns of Fairlie, Geraldine and Methven through to Christchurch where you arrive approx. 4.10pm.
