Day 1: Christchurch-Mount Cook-Queenstown
Travel south on the Great Sights Coach Lines, following the foothills of the Southern Alps to Mount Cook village via Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki. Time for lunch (extra cost) or take one of the many alpine walks in the area. Depart for Queenstown travelling via the Lindis Pass and the Kawarau Gorge.
Accommodation: Scenic Suites Queenstown, Bella Vista Motel or similar

Day 2: Full Day Excursion to Milford Sound
A coach journey with Great Sights to one of the world's greatest natural wonders - the Fiordland National Park - a world heritage area. A vast remote wilderness with snow capped mountains, glacial lakes and valleys, fiords, islands, waterfalls and dense forests. Travel to Te Anau and on to the forested Eglinton Valley, through the Homer tunnel and out into breath-taking Milford Sound. Enjoy a one and a half hour cruise of Milford Sound viewing the spectacular waterfalls and famous Mitre Peak.
An optional scenic flight may be taken for the return journey to Queenstown (arranged through your driver on the day of travel).
