An experience of extremes. See Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, followed
by a tour through one of the country's most beautiful native bush and coastal
areas.
Your experienced guide will take you on a short walk into a lush native rainforest,
home of some magnifient Kauri trees. Operated in association with Bush and Beach
Tours.
Enjoy a comprehensive 3 hour tour of Auckland including the Harbour Bridge,
central city, Mt Eden and the War Memorial Museum ($5.00 donation requested
per person) with its Maori displays before heading west over the Waitakere Ranges.
Lunch can be purchased en-route. A visit is made to the Arataki Visitors Centre
located in lush native bush overlooking the Manukau Harbour.
See ancient Kauri trees and learn about the native flora and fauna of the area.
Visit Karakare, location for the award winning movie 'The Piano'. Stroll over
the sand dunes of this unique black iron sand beach. Kitekite Falls is our last
stop where we enjoy a leisurely one hour walk to this fresh waterfall amongst
the native flora of the area.
Good walking shoes recommended.
