Our journey to Mount Cook travels across the Canterbury Plains through Geraldine, Fairlie and Lake Tekapo. From Tekapo optional scenic flights are available over the glaciers and Mt Cook.
After lunch (not included), we leave Mount Cook bound for Queenstown passing on the way the many hydro electric power schemes of the McKenzie Basin. A short stop for afternoon tea (not included) at Omarama and then it's through the tussock clad hills of the Lindis Pass to Cromwell, a major stone-fruit producing region. From here we travel through the craggy Kawarau Gorge, past the famous Bungy Jump bridge and on to Queenstown overlooking beautiful Lake Wakatipu.
