Day 1: Christchurch - Dunedin
Travel south by InterCity coach across the manicured Canterbury Plains to seaside Timaru, whitestone Oamaru and alongside the rugged coastline to Palmerston. Then its over the Kilmog Hill and Mount Cargill to Dunedin - the Edinburgh of the south, arriving early afternoon. Ask at time of booking if you are interested in doing a wildlife tour out to Otago Peninsula.
Accommodation: Scenic Hotel Southern Cross, Alexis Motor Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Dunedin - Queenstown
This morning travel with Alpine Coachlines in connection with Taieri Gorge Train on a track & trail journey. Enjoy a sentimental journey over viaducts and through the Central Otago hill country to Pukarangi. From there, travel by coach following the historical Otago goldfields trail before arriving into Queenstown approximately 5pm.
Accommodation: Scenic Suites Queenstown, Bella Vista Motel or similar.

Day 3: Queenstown - Milford - Queenstown
Our journey today traces the shore of Lake Wakatipu to Kingston, then across rich farming country to Te Anau and the beautiful Eglinton and Hollyford Valleys. The Homer Tunnel and the awesome Cleddau Canyon preclude our arrival into Milford Sound. A one and a half hour cruise on magnificent Milford Sound is included in the fare. Return to Queenstown approx. 7.45pm for tonight's stay.

A full day for you to enjoy this fabulous resort. We have included the Skyline Gondola in your tour. There are dozens of optional activities as well - thrilling jetboating on the rivers, white water rafting, helicopters through the chasms, A J Hackett's world famous bungy jumping, cruises on the lake on the vintage 'TSS Earnslaw', high country sheep stations, gold panning and spectacular walking trails. The list is endless with something for everyone.

Time is available for lunch at Mt Cook village (own expense) before continuing to Lake Tekapo. After a brief stop at the Church of the Good Shepherd, our journey continues across the Canterbury Plains to the garden city of Christchurch. Our arrival time is approximately 6.55pm.
