Day 1 Wellington - Taupo
Board your Intercity coach for your journey north out of the capital city, along the Kapiti Coast and over the Manawatu Plain to Palmerston North before skirting the volcanic plateau to Taupo. Arrive at Taupo by 1.40pm.
The afternoon is free at leisure.
Accommodation: Bella Vista Motel, Suncourt Hotel or similar

Day 2 Taupo - Rotorua
This morning is free for optional sightseeing (own expense). We suggest a visit to the Huka Falls or maybe some early morning lake fishing. Taupo is internationally recognised for its prized trophy-sized trout. In the afternoon depart Taupo by Intercity Coachlines for your journey to Rotorua. This evening you will be entertained by Mitai Tours with their New Zealand award-winning Maori hangi and concert.

Day 4 Rotorua - Waitomo - Auckland
Depart Rotorua with GreatSights travelling north to the Waitomo Caves. Visit the Glow-worm Grotto for a spectacular display of tiny lights emitted by these unique life forms deep in the cave grotto. Continue on to Auckland, the 'City of Sails' where your tour terminates at the Sky City coach terminal at 3.10pm.
Depart Rotorua with GreatSights travelling north to the Waitomo Caves. Visit the Glow-worm Grotto for a spectacular display of tiny lights emitted by these unique life forms deep in the cave grotto.
