An overnight cruise is the ultimate way to experience Milford Sound. When all the day visitors have left, the fiord transforms into a peaceful scene of dramatic landscape. It is the perfect opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and get a sense of the serenity that the fiord offers.
Schedule: Tour operates September to May
Day 1: Depart Queenstown 8:30am, board Milford Mariner at

Activities include kayaking and exploring the shoreline on a tender craft. The overnight cruise includes an evening meal. Beverages are available for purchase at the licensed on board bar. The next morning following breakfast, there is further cruising before returning to the Milford Wharf. Suitable for most ages except infants. Not suitable for wheelchair passengers due to steep stairs.
Accommodation: 28 cabins with en suite bathrooms (16 cabins with twin single beds, 12 cabins with double beds).
Children: Child (5 - 14 years) sharing with one adult is charged at child rate. Please note: this tour is not recommended for infants.
Baggage: One overnight bag only to be brought on board for passenger convenience and safety reasons.
What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, waterproof jacket, warm clothing, a change of clothes, swimwear (optional) and insect repellent.
The Milford Mariner is also available departing from Milford or Te Anau.
For a less expensive alternative, the Milford Wanderer is available with departures from Queenstown or Milford. The Milford Wanderer has shared bathroom facilities.
