Departing Christchurch you travel south through the villages of Ashburton and Geraldine before a brief stop at Tekapo. Hugging the stunning turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo and Pukaki you pass the Glentanner High Country Station before reaching Mount Cook Village. With time for lunch (own expense) you can enjoy the beautiful mountain and glacier views or one of the many short walks this area has to offer. Travel further south into the Mackenzie Country, passing through Omarama and Cromwell townships before reaching stunning Queenstown early evening.

Our journey to Mt Cook travels across the Canterbury Plains through Geraldine, Fairlie and Lake Tekapo. From Tekapo optional scenic flights are available over the glaciers and Mt Cook.  Our lunch stop (own expense) is at Mt Cook village. After lunch we leave Mt Cook bound for Queenstown passing on the way the many hydro electric power schemes of the McKenzie Basin. A short stop for afternoon tea (own expense) at Omarama and then it's through the tussock clad hills of the Lindis Pass to Cromwell, a major stone-fruit producing region. From here we travel through the craggy Kawarau Gorge, past the famous Bungy Jump bridge and onto Queenstown overlooking beautiful Lake Wakatipu. 

Informative commentaries throughout the journey. Coaches are 5 star and offer reclining seats, air conditioning and an on board toilet.

Main coach departure point: Lichfield Street Bus Exchnage, Regional Platform. The coach can also offer a pick up service from selected accommodation.
