Day 1 Christchurch - Greymouth - Nelson
Board the world renowned TranzAlpine train bound for Greymouth via the Arthur's Pass National Park. Cross the Canterbury Plains, travel over viaducts and through tunnels and into the lush rainforests of the West Coast. On arrival in Greymouth board your InterCity coach for your journey north to Nelson.  An afternoon stop is made Punakaii where you can view the pancake rocks.

Day 2 Abel Tasman Day Tour
Your full day tour to the Abel Tasman National Park commences with a morning pick up from your accommodation. Drive through horticultural areas to Motueka and on to beautiful Kaiteriteri beach where you board your launch. You have various cruise/walking options in the National Park during the day before returning to Nelson at approximately 6.00pm.

Day 3 Nelson - Kaikoura
Travel with InterCity Coachlines through the Nelson state forests to Blenheim before heading south to the seaside resort of Kaikoura. Enjoy spectacular views of the Kaikoura coastline and the seaward Kaikoura mountain range. Arrive Kaikoura at 12.30pm.

Day 4 Kaikoura - Christchurch
This morning enjoy a 3 hour cruise with Kaikoura Whalewatch to marvel at the giant sperm whale and the dusky dolphins. Kaikoura Whalewatch has won many international awards for tourism excellence and marine conservation. In the afternoon return to Christchurch on the Coastal Pacific train. Arrive Christchurch 6.20pm.

Day 5 Christchurch - Dunedin
Travel south by InterCity coach over the Canterbury Plains to the cities of Timaru and Oamaru. Follow the coastline to Palmerston and then its over the Kilmog Hill and Mount Cargill to Dunedin - the Edinburgh of the south. Arrive Dunedin 1.45pm.  Afternoon at leisure in Dunedin.  Ask us at time of enquiry/booking if you wish to do a tour to see the penguins/seals on Otago peninsula.

Day 6 Dunedin - Te Anau
Morning at leisure in Dunedin. In the afternoon board the InterCity coach for your journey through the lush pastures of Otago and Southland to the lakeside resort of Te Anau, arriving at 6.30pm.

Day 7 Te Anau - Milford Sound - Queenstown
Regarded as one of the World's most scenic journeys into Fiordland National Park - a world heritage area. Enjoy a one and a half hour cruise of Milford Sound viewing spectacular waterfalls and famous Mitre Peaks. Arrive in Queenstown approx. 7.30pm.

Day 8 Queenstown
A full day for you to enjoy this fabulous resort. We have included the Skyline Gondola in your tour. There are dozens of activities including white water rafting, jetboating, bungy jumping, lake cruises, high country sheep station tours and excellent walking trails. Something for everyone.

Day 9  Queenstown - Mount Cook - Christchurch
We leave Queenstown and travel with Great Sights through the rugged Kawarau Gorge to Cromwell and then up over the Lindis Pass to the Mount Cook National Park. Time is available for lunch (own expense) before continuing to Lake Tekapo. After a brief stop at the Church of the Good Shepherd, our journey continues across the Canterbury Plains to the garden city of Christchurch. Our arrival time is approximately 7.45pm.
