Day 1: Christchurch - Greymouth
Board the world renowned TranzAlpine train bound for Greymouth via Arthurs Pass National Park. This afternoon join a guided tour to the spectacular pancake rocks and blowholes at Punakaiki. Enjoy a guided walk in the rainforest of the Paparoa National Park, before returning to Greymouth approximately 5.45pm.
Accommodation: The Ashley Hotel, Ashley Motel or similar

Day 2: Greymouth - Franz Josef - Fox Glacier
Today travel south on a guided tour along the West Coast to Franz Josef, via the historic goldfields capital of Hokitika to Franz Josef. The tour includes a guided walk to Sentinal Rock to view the Franz Josef Glacier and then continues onto Fox Glacier and a walk to the glacier face. Stroll the forest edge of Lake Matheson, where the deep still water provides brilliant reflections of Mount Cook. In association with Kea Heritage Tours.

We travel with Newmans Coachlines deeper into South Westland taking in the spectacle of Haast Pass, carved by the Haast River and framed by the Southern Alps. Take in the views of many beautiful lakes. Arrive Queenstown 4.10pm.
