Magic Travel Pass General Information & Conditions of Travel
1. Passes entitle the holder to travel on scheduled Magic Travellers Network services only.
2. Passes do not entitle the holder to meals and accommodation unless specified.
3. Passes do not include transport across Cook Strait between Wellington and Picton or Picton and Wellington unless specified.
4. For passes that include rail sectors or domestic flights, transfers to and from the railway station or airport are not included. Free shuttles are sometimes available from selected hostels.
5. Due to the extended nature of the trips, Magic Travellers Network reserves the right to vary the Itinerary where adverse conditions prevail in the interest of safety. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.
6. Adventure activities, other transport operators and accommodation are provided by independent companies. Magic Travellers Network will accept no liability for their actions and all bookings with activity, adventure operators, and other transport operators are at the client's own risk. Magic Travellers Network is not responsible for the safety standards or delays imposed by other operators.
7. Magic Travellers Network will accept no liability for loss of possessions or delay in transit but will give all possible assistance should the situation arise.
8. Luggage is restricted to one pack or suitcase, and one day pack per person. Luggage is carried subject to the conditions of the Carriage of Goods Act 1979. Additional luggage or equipment will be carried subject to availability. Magic Travellers Network will accept no liability for bikes, sporting or other equipment carried on the coach.
9. The itinerary, highlights and activities in the brochure will be adhered to wherever possible but should be used as a guide only.
10. Pick ups and drop offs will be made as per the timetable. Any others en route are at the discretion of the driver.
11. Reservations and onward bookings are required at least s in advance, either by informing the driver or by telephoning one of the agents listed in the brochure. If the coach is full and you have called within the s you may be required to travel on an alternative date.
12. Entrance costs and prices quoted in the brochure should be used as a guide only.
13. Passes are valid for 12 months from the first date of travel, are nontransferable and can only be used by the person whose name the ticket is in. Each sector may only be travelled once.
14. To cancel your booking the following cancellation charges apply;
Once booked all passes incur a minimum cancellation fee of 10%
Up to 7 days before departure - 10% of ticket price.
Within 7 days of departure - 30% of ticket price.
Within 2 days of departure - 50% of ticket price.
No refund will be given once travel has commenced.
15. Once booked and confirmed a $50.00 amendment fee will be charged on any amendments made to Highlights packages.
16. Unused sectors are not refundable or transferable.
17. Passes bought in conjunction with other passes are considered 'one pass' and are subject to normal refund conditions.
18. Magic Travellers Network reserves the right to use the services of other coach operators should the need arise.
19. All passengers must have comprehensive travel and luggage insurance. It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure this is obtained prior to travel.
20. Information in the brochure is correct at the time of going to print and the company will not be liable for any inaccuracies therein.
21. Prices in foreign currency may vary due to currency fluctuations and may be adjusted if necessary.
22. All rail sectors included in a pass are subject to availability. Any changes to rail sectors once ticketed may incur cancellation or amendment fees.
23. Passengers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 21.
24. Passengers 12 and under are eligible for a 10% discount on normal price.
25. Magic staff may take photographs of passengers and activities while travelling with Magic which may be used for promotional purposes. No further consent or payment in respect of these photographs is required.
26. Passengers purchasing the Coach and Jet Passes must have an international airline ticket and Magic will require the number of that ticket.
27. Domestic Flights are booked at the time of confirmation. These flights are non-refundable and non-transferable once ticketed.
28. Information contained in brochures and itineraries is correct at the time of printing. Magic Travellers Network reserves the right to alter prices, timetables, pick up times, and itineraries, or to arrange alternative transport, routes or sightseeing without prior notice. Magic Travellers Network, and it agents, are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from these changes.
29. Magic Travellers Network operates and advertises Daily Departures pertaining to the main circuit only apart from Christmas and New Year’s Day when no coaches operate. Daily Departures does not apply to selected Connections passes. CANCELLATION-AMENDMENT FEES
Scenic Pacific Tours reserve the right to charge an
appropriate fee to recover costs brought about through the amendment or cancellation
of a tour by the client.
CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
Scenic Pacific Tours reserves the right to alter fares,
amend itineraries or to cancel tours. Scenic Pacific Tours shall not be held
responsible for any loss or damage to luggage or personal effects and/or damage
resulting in death or personal injury which may arise whilst on tour with Scenic
Pacific Tours or its nominated suppliers.
